After witnessing André’s growth, I closely realized how real and challenging the struggle for a better quality of life is for any child with special needs and their parents. This is an everyday battle because illnesses don’t take breaks or pause for lunch.

It was from there that the invitation came to illustrate a children’s book, produced by the Pais em Rede association, inspired by André’s life—a wonderful story penned by Ricardo Marques.

There are projects we take pleasure in accepting, and then there are others we feel an unwavering need to accept without any hesitation. This was one of them.
